It`s about not being an artist supporting the "pyramid".
I`ll try to explain:
From the ancient Incas civilizations until todays civilization we have been obsessed with death. Today death is a big part of our entertainment and we see and read about it every day in the newspapers, on the computer and TV screens.
We think of death, unconsciously and consciously most of the time if not all of the time.
Psycho-analysis shows that when we unconsciously and consciously think about death we don`t cooperate good. We turn to the people that have similar thoughts as us, like religion or politics. It creates gaps between human masses and destroys Unity.
Fear is the biggest weapon of mass-control, mass-hypnoziz.
Our society has the same structure as ancient Inca, a pyramid. At the top we find the king of all power. Under him are the priests who perform sacrifices and obey the king. Under the priests are the elite, the rich and prominent in the community. In the bottom where, and is still today the big human masses.
Human Crowds kept controlled in Inca by constantly being bombed with death, the priests sacrifices which was people from the bottom of the pyramid.
Today, our society is built on the same principles, it is death that keeps us controlled. The artists in the Incas time focused in grotesque and horrible artwork around the engines of society. The art from the artists helped to keep people's thoughts occupied, to maintain the power structures.
If I decide to paint a picture that contains war and saying:
- I Don`t like war, look how bad it is!
It`s not different than when the media spreads fear with their images or text about death and horror, I`m helping the people in the top to spread fear, I`m not fighting it or turnring against it.
I become a part of the pyramid even if I believe I challenge it. How to succeed in not being a part of the pyramid structure?
I don`t know yet...
Here is the first tryouts anyway and I`ll come back to the subject:
